Design confidentiality
Each step handles a different scope of data. Choose the appropriate tool and share only the inputs needed for the agreed work.
View Gerber files in your browser
Gerber is viewed on your device. Native PCB files are sent to CPS Lab for conversion when their format is available; temporary files are scheduled for deletion after 1 hour. Conversion creates no project and submits no diagnostics. Gerber diagnostic submission requires the feature, sign-in, an A1 project and separate consent.
Open the Gerber toolChoose to send originals for Gerber diagnosis
You may send successfully or unsuccessfully opened files to help CPS Lab diagnose export problems and improve Gerber compatibility for A1. ZIP/RAR originals stay unchanged; individual files are packaged into a ZIP containing each file's original bytes. Cases belong to a private project under project permissions, deliberate staff sharing and staff MFA. Public-tool analytics receive only coarse outcomes, reasons, input kinds and software when evidence supports it, never filenames or contents.
Open the project workspaceDiagnostic original retention and deletion
Diagnostic originals are retained for up to 90 days; files whose safety remains unverified after retries are retained for up to 7 days. Malware bytes are discarded. Customers with project edit access or staff with project work permission may request early deletion from the diagnostic list; access stops when accepted and removal is queued. Remaining audit metadata and hashes are purged 180 days after submission once file cleanup succeeds; failed cleanup is retried. Earlier encrypted backup copies remain under backup retention. Operators must dispose of separate diagnostic exports and decrypted copies by the case deadline or deletion request.
Prepare a request before sending
The request preparation page keeps its draft in the page session's memory. The preview is not a submitted request; reloading or leaving the page may lose the draft. Do not use this step to store project files.
Prepare a requestUpload files to a private project
In the signed-in customer workspace, files belong to your organization's project and undergo malware checks before downloads are allowed. Every download requires appropriate access; files awaiting checks or rejected by checks cannot be downloaded.
Open the project workspaceShare deliberately with the engineering team
Engineering staff can access a project only after the customer enables sharing with staff and the account has appropriate permissions. Staff role permissions and multi-factor authentication still apply. Sharing a project does not publish its files on the website.
Agree before transferring files
- Confirm the scope of work, file versions and required deliverables.
- Check rights to use and share documents, including third-party material.
- Agree separately on any NDA, retention, deletion or access restrictions required for the project. This page does not replace a service agreement.
Traffic statistics
After deployment, CPS Lab collects public page views, visible viewing time, referrer domains, campaign labels, broad device, browser and language groups, and successful public Gerber opens with coarse exporter groups when recognized. Native PCB opens also record coarse success or failure, the selected KiCad/Altium/EAGLE-Fusion format, and the original ZIP/RAR/loose-file group. Source groups distinguish direct Gerber, native PCB and inputs whose source is still unknown. Failed opens record a coarse reason and ZIP/RAR/loose-file group, using an exporter group only when already known. Each completed or failed batch open counts once; reopening counts again. Cancelling, replacing files and pending coordinate choices do not count as failures. New page views may include the public visitor IP supplied by the configured proxy and an estimated country. Country is looked up locally on the server; no visitor IP is sent to an external lookup service. VPNs and proxies can differ from the visitor's actual country. Visitors are estimated browsers; shared devices, blocking and opt-out affect accuracy. The report does not include customer account IDs, but IP addresses may identify a network or person, so the dataset is not anonymous.
Random browser IDs expire after 30 days; sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity. Raw IP addresses in the live dataset are retained for up to 30 days and are visible only to staff with separate IP access permission and two-factor verification. Page-view events, country codes and open outcomes are retained for up to 90 days in CPS Lab's live database. Older views are not backfilled with IP or country; unavailable data remains unknown. Direct Gerber files are processed on your device. Selecting native PCB conversion uploads the selected source to the CPS Lab conversion server; coarse traffic outcomes contain no file names, paths, hashes, project IDs or contents. We exclude private pages and project-file activity, raw User-Agent strings, URL queries and fragments, form data, Gerber file names, contents and versions, raw parser messages, and layer, color, zoom or fullscreen operations. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are honored.
Encrypted backups currently keep all versions with no automated deletion. Live-data retention does not retroactively purge earlier backups, physical database remnants or diagnostic exports; backup disposal is a separate operator action.

A separate voluntary A1 diagnosis Send, when enabled, requires login, your own project selection and purpose/retention consent. It uploads selected originals into a private project case, separate from traffic statistics, for up to 90 days (7 days if scanning cannot complete) with early deletion available. Existing project sharing and access permissions apply. Internal diagnostic copies follow case deletion; earlier encrypted backups are not retroactively modified and require separate operator disposal. Remaining audit metadata and hashes are purged 180 days after submission once file cleanup succeeds; failed cleanup is retried. Turning off statistics does not send or delete diagnostic files.
Opt-out stops future collection and removes this browser's random IDs. Previously collected data remains under the live IP and event retention periods described above; opting out does not delete existing backups.
